21 Sep Do I really need shoe trees?

Shoe trees can be an invaluable investment for helping your shoes keep as near to perfect for longer. They help to retain the shape of your shoes, and are most efficient when footwear is made from real leather.  They are also a great storage solution for longer boots and help to keep creases to a minimum.

There are a lot of shoe trees out there all claiming to be the best. But how do you know which ones to buy? As a general rule, wooden ones are superior to plastic ones. They fit well in your shoe, and allow the leather to breathe. Travel shoe trees are also great if you are often living out of a suitcase, as they make sure your smart shoes don’t get squashed. They are plastic and hollow and don’t weigh much more than a few ounces.

So there you have it! Shoe trees definitely have a purpose, but whether they are a necessity or not for YOU – well this is down to personal preference…
